If you are pursuing a college degree but can’t afford it on your own, you may qualify for an educational grant to help you fund your education. Unlike student loans, grants do not have to be repaid. To get money for college through grants, you typically need to research available funding and apply on your own. There are hundreds of grants available from organizations throughout the country, many of which are geared toward specific educational paths. Some grants, however, are easily accessible by filling out the FAFSA application form. The FAFSA is how the government determines who will receive federal aid and/or qualify for federal loans.
